A2D Elite UPDATES

Hello A2D Elite family,

I just received a text message from a parent asking if our sessions are cancelled due to one of our academy members testing positive for Covid-19.  To be honest, I was very disappointed because We DO NOT at this point have a girl in our academy who tested positive for COVID19.  

According to one of our academy members COVID-19 exposure screening, On July 7th (Tuesday) at 9am she came in close proximity of her 86 year old grandfather for a very short amount of time because of an emergency, he had to be rushed to the hospital.  That same day THE GRANDFATHER was tested for Covid-19 and tested positive.  

Our academy members family was very responsible in contacting us to let us know that she could have been exposed.  She immediately went for testing, but because of the back log in COVID testing, we will not find out her results for 8-10 days. What is also important to note is that We DID NOT have A2D on July 7th nor did the player come in exposure contact with any girl from A2D per CDC guidelines. 

Again, the players parents immediately scheduled her to be tested which the results haven't even come back yet.  She is also quarantining for 14 days for her own precautionary measures.  Again, the player NEVER came in contact with anyone in A2D after she was exposed on Tuesday morning July 7th plus she NEVER test positive at this point.  

Our Protocol moving forward:

If she test NEGATIVE she's good to return.  If she test POSITIVE she has to quarantine for 14 days and then get another test that comes back negative until we let her back into the academy.  To conclude, I will say this - I am very disappointed with whoever is spreading rumors about this young lady because it's not fair.  This is something totally out of our control and the young lady was doing what she thought was best at the time. I commend her parents for being responsible and letting us know so we could make the right decision. 

We WILL NOT be cancelling any A2D sessions moving forward because this young lady WAS NOT at A2D or exposed any of our academy members after she was exposed.  Please let's stay supportive of each other during these trying times and continue to pray for one another.
